An extremely rare Lampascope Boule with its own oil, kerosene lamp produced most probably by the French manufacturer Lapierre around 1870.
Check the lens fitting and slide carrier, quite different from the standard Lampascope!
The lantern body is dented but it could be made to look better. This lantern is complete and stands 43.5 cm tall x 16 cm in diameter or 17" x 6 1/4".
