Rare Jacob's Ladder optical illusion toy showing Queen Victoria turning into Prince Albert at the turn of the handle. Most probably of German manufacture and dating form around 1860.
All original and fully functioning with some yellowing and a couple of stains as can be seen here.
This toy including the handle is 19 cm long x 4.5 cm wide or 7 1/2" x 1 3/4" opening to 24 cm or 9 1/2" when unfolded.
